Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Calgary, AB)
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Calgary commercial construction team. This role requires a leader who can take ownership of projects ranging from $2M to $20M while ensuring budgets, schedules, and quality expectations are met. If you have a background in commercial and multifamily construction and are eager to build out systems and processes, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead full-cycle project management from planning to completion.

• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and contracts to ensure profitability.

• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

• Implement and enforce safety procedures on-site.

• Coordinate progress billings, change orders, and project reporting.

• Conduct trade and site superintendent meetings to align project goals.

• Ensure compliance with all contract requirements and industry regulations.

• Oversee deficiency review and closeout procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in commercial and multifamily construction project management.

• Proven success managing projects in the $2M-$20M range.

• Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of contract interpretation, scheduling, and cost control.

• Proficiency in Procore or similar project management software.

• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.

• Knowledge of provincial lien legislation and holdbacks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background working with larger general contractors (GCs).

• Ability to establish processes and structure within a growing team.

• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
