Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager – Water & Wastewater in Calgary, AB

A leading Canadian engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to join their Calgary office. This role is ideal for a professional with 7+ years of progressive experience in water or wastewater engineering, offering the opportunity to manage a variety of projects including pump stations, water treatment upgrades, lift stations, and wastewater treatment facilities. Responsibilities include overseeing project planning, design, delivery, and client communications, as well as guiding multidisciplinary project teams to meet technical and client objectives.

The team is collaborative, client-focused, and dynamic, supporting projects across public and private sectors. You’ll work in a flexible environment with opportunities for professional growth, technical leadership, and career development in project management, client management, or a combination of both.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, or diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited technical institute
• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or a technologist with ASET
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive engineering consulting experience in the water or wastewater sector
• Proven project management experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, career-oriented, and committed team player
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel within Canada

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with business development and proposal preparation in the municipal sector
• Experience mentoring junior staff or leading multidisciplinary project teams
