MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a fast-growing development and construction team based in Surrey focused on large-scale residential projects in the Lower Mainland.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a major woodframe multifamily project and play a key role in a pipeline of over 1,000 units over the next 18 months. You’ll oversee a 430-unit, 6-storey residential development from pre-construction through completion, ensuring budgets, schedules, quality, and safety standards are met while driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of a large-scale woodframe residential project from pre-construction through completion.
• Develop, track, and manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and municipal officials to ensure compliance with design, codes, and approvals.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
• Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a collaborative, safety-first culture.
• Support risk management strategies and oversee permitting and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–5+ years managing woodframe multifamily or mixed-use construction projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Proven track record managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office; experience with construction software (e.g., Procore, Premier) is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
