MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a talented Commercial Project Manager to join our client, a well-established construction project management consultancy headquartered in Surrey. The firm operates across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, managing complex builds for public and private owners. This role offers full lifecycle ownership, hybrid flexibility and strong long-term growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead all project phases: planning, design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Act as the owner’s representative. Manage project budget, schedule and sustainability targets.
• Oversee consultants, contractors and stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
• Maintain schedule control using project and scheduling software.
• Provide technical leadership. Guide teams through risk, procurement and delivery milestones.
• Support commissioning and hand-over documentation for owner acceptance.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in project management, project coordination or construction engineering.
• Experience in commercial building design and delivery is required.
• Site-based project experience is highly valued.
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Professional registration (APEGBC/APEGA/APEGA equivalent) is an asset.
• PMP or LEED designations are preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling and project software.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated and driven to deliver successful owner outcomes.
