MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Project Manager for a permanent position. This role will work out of the clients downtown Vancouver office. This is an on-site position 5 days per week for the first 6 months and then after a hybrid role (3 days on site and 2 remote).

Base Salary Range $90k to $100K 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead and manage internal projects and initiatives of varying sizes, ranging from a couple of weeks to a few months.
  • Lead and manage externally facing projects, which can extend up to 9 months in duration.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and their teams.
  • Maintain and track project budgets, timelines, and scope for both internal and external initiatives.
  • Provide weekly updates to stakeholders, ensuring clarity on requirements and responsibilities.
  • Report regularly on project progress to internal teams, external partners and upwards to the executive team.
  • Gather, document, and memorialize project requirements, ensuring they are clearly understood and tracked.
  • Drive successful project delivery by managing scope, risks, and resources efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans, issue logs, and status reports, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout the project.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Drive accountability with cross-functional stakeholders in both Business and Technology.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset by conducting post-project evaluations and using lessons learned to improve future project management practices.

Must-Have Qualifications:
 

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of project or program management experience, ideally in software development or technology consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present updates and reports clearly to stakeholders of varied technical capabilities.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects or products on time, on budget and within scope.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, and MS Project.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.
  • An interest in technology with the ability to quickly learn new platforms or tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a love for data.
  • Ability to apply complex principles, theories and concepts of the technical discipline and provide solutions to a wide range of complex tasks, projects, and problem
  • A proven self-starter that thrives in a start-up environment with minimal structure
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize new requirements and initiatives as they arise.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Preferred Skills:
 

  • PMP certification
  • Experience in consumer finance, healthcare, or technology industries.
  • Familiarity with various delivery methodologies and practices, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and apply specifications, contracts, design documents, test plans and co-ordinate contracted technical projects.
