Project Manager – Concrete Formwork (Kelowna)

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established concrete construction company. This is an opportunity to join a growing team delivering a large-scale residential high-rise project from the early stages through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer project contracts and support project planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, cash flow, and manpower forecasts.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Review drawings to identify constructability issues and coordinate shop drawings.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, progress claims, and project documentation.
• Track project costs, delays, and prepare supporting documentation when required.
• Monitor project productivity, quality, safety, scheduling, and deficiencies through regular site visits.
• Coordinate project activities to keep work progressing efficiently.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide regular reporting on project performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
• Previous concrete formwork experience is highly preferred.
• Candidates from a General Contractor background with significant structural concrete experience on high-rise projects will also be considered.
• Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, RFIs, and change orders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and manage projects independently.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
• Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
