Matchbox Consulting is searching for a Property Accountant for our client, a leading property management company with over 6 Million Sq. ft. of commercial properties within their portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliation process for commercial properties, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses among tenants.
• Collaborate with property management teams to collect necessary data and resolve discrepancies in CAM charges.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned commercial properties.
• Generate financial reports that provide insights into property performance and variances against budgets.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of property budgets.
• Contribute to the forecasting process by providing accurate financial data and insights.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations related to property financials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial properties.
• Proven experience with CAM reconciliation processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
