MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Python Engineer – Distributed Systems & Performance Optimization for a permanent, full-time opportunity with our cutting-edge AI Fintech client.

This is a fully remote position, offering the chance to collaborate with a passionate engineering team on performance-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in Python, distributed systems, and performance optimization, with the ability to work on complex, high-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance distributed Python applications.

• Work on multithreaded and async Python code to ensure efficient execution.

• Debug and resolve edge cases, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong experience with distributed systems and multithreading in Python.

• Deep understanding of Python internals and performance optimization.

• Experience with async programming and concurrent execution.

• Proficiency in debugging, particularly with memory leaks and performance profiling.
