Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Bridge Engineer
Matchbox Consulting Group is looking for a skilled Intermediate/Senior Bridge Engineer to join our client, a leading engineering firm in Western Canada in their Calgary office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse bridge and transportation infrastructure design and rehabilitation projects while contributing to the growth of the firm’s bridge engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to bridge and transportation infrastructure design projects.
- Provide project management support, including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and technicians.
- Support business development and proposal preparation.
- Conduct field visits and technical assessments as needed.
Qualifications
- P.Eng. designation with APEGA.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in engineering consulting, preferably in bridges or structural projects.
- Proven experience managing projects and delivering results from start to finish.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian design codes and standards.
- Effective proposal writing and interest in supporting business development.
Preferred Experience
- Master’s or post-graduate degree in Structural or Bridge Engineering.
- Experience with provincial transportation agencies.
- Seismic design, bridge inspection, or specialty bridge experience (e.g., cable-stay or suspension bridges).
