Are you a Senior Civil Engineer with deep technical expertise in hydro dam design? MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our client, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company headquartered in Vancouver. Responsibilities:

• Leading multidisciplinary teams in the design of large hydroelectric and water control dams—from concept to construction
• Acting as a technical lead and mentor within project teams, supporting younger engineers
• Leading dam safety reviews and condition assessments, domestically and internationally
• Supporting project planning, scheduling, and execution from feasibility through final design
• Preparing client reports, managing communication, and participating in regular project updates
• Participating in and contributing to business development activities, including proposal writing
• Conducting site visits and integrating field findings into design
• Ensuring project quality management standards are maintained and improved

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or hydrotechnical engineering; Master’s is an asset
• 12+ years of experience in dam design and hydroelectric projects (50–100 MW+ scale)
• Registration or eligibility as a P.Eng. in BC (other provinces or U.S. an asset)
• Deep understanding of civil, geotechnical, and mechanical aspects of hydro projects
• Demonstrated construction site and dam safety inspection experience
• Strong communication, reporting, and client management skills
• Experience managing projects valued at $1 million or more
• Track record in mentorship and leading technical teams
