MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Sr Estimator to join our client in Calgary, AB.  

Our client, a highly acclaimed multi-family builder that focuses on innovation, quality, and exceptional customer service. They address the need for diverse and affordable options, and as a member of Built Green Canada, they prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability. Dedicated to meeting customers’ evolving needs, our client collaborates closely with trades, suppliers, and consultants to consistently exceed expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with architects and consultants to produce and review construction documents for efficiencies and cost savings.
• Prequalify trades and suppliers, manage trade lists, and maintain relationships to ensure competency and multiple qualified options per scope of work.
• Create bid packages, perform quantity takeoffs, compile tender drawings, and manage the tender pricing process, including sending packages and resolving technical questions.
• Evaluate quotes to ensure comprehensive pricing and negotiate for the best possible rates, recommending the lowest qualified trade for approval.
• Compile and administer contracts with attention to detail, ensuring all relevant information and negotiations are included.
• Create and maintain project budgets and review marketing materials to ensure alignment with construction documents.

• 5+ years estimating experience in residential construction.
• Considerable experience  in townhomes and/or condos.
• Strong understanding of wood frame construction.
