MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant. Our client stands as a top developer renowned for their expertise in residential and commercial projects across several Canadian cities, including Vancouver and Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements and internal management reports and assists with day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of companies and projects
• Prepares loan draw reports and coordinate monthly progress draws
• Ensures accuracy of accounting transactions and manages accounts and bank reconciliation processes
• Compiles year-end audit working papers and liaises with auditors
• Prepares partnership and corporate tax returns
• Compiles annual operating budgets
• Conducts variance analysis
• Provides administrative support to the management as required.
• Other duties may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting related position
• CPA Designation
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
• Excellent people skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Competent in the use of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Outlook
• Good team player, self-motivated and willing to learn
