What We're Looking For
We are seeking a Senior Fisheries Scientist who brings dedication, diligence, and technical expertise to our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional looking to advance their career in a collaborative, innovative, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, planning, and execution of ecological studies related to fisheries and aquatic ecosystems.

Analyze and interpret environmental data to assess baseline conditions and potential impacts from natural or human activities.
-
Author high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients, regulators, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders.
-
Support environmental assessments, Fisheries Act permitting, and fish habitat offsetting strategies.
-
Work within interdisciplinary teams to ensure scientific integrity and project excellence.
Qualifications
-
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Fisheries Science, Aquatic Ecology, or related discipline.
-
Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) designation in BC, or eligible for registration.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead or senior capacity within environmental consulting.

Proven experience in:

Technical writing and data reporting.
-
Regulatory processes, including Fisheries Act permitting.

Fish habitat assessment and offsetting (asset).
Strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and professional ethics.
