MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Front End Developer for a permanent full-time role. This position is based out of Montreal and would be hybrid/remote setup (onsite 1-2 days per month), local candidates only.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a scalable, highly available application platform within an Agile team
• Participate and contribute to requirements analysis and grooming
• Understand performance and scalability principles and apply them when developing software
• Use your knowledge to build great-looking, event-driven and highly interactive interfaces
• Document and communicate clear architecture and implementation solutions
• Work closely with the back-end team, product managers, QA, and application architects

 
Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in front-end web development
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Development or related fields
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience with React
• Experience with REST and WebSocket based web services
• Experience with Unit and integration testing
• Experience in designing and implementing asynchronous applications
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems and architectures
• Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures
• Experience working with MySQL or other Non/Relational Databases
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team
