MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Geologist to join a respected mining client at their open-pit operation in Central BC This Vancouver-based company is growing fast with an expanding portfolio across Canada and the US and a strong focus on sustainable and responsible development 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to take a leadership position in mine geology operations while mentoring junior staff and contributing to exploration and resource development 

You will 

• Lead geological staff ensuring safety and performance in daily operations 
• Conduct and supervise data collection resource modeling and infill drilling 
• Oversee grade control mine-to-mill improvements and reconciliation analysis 
• Support exploration projects and geological interpretation 
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of geological databases 
• Collaborate with mine engineering and operations to optimize performance 

What you bring 

• 5+ years of experience in open-pit mining with leadership responsibility 
• Familiarity with porphyry systems mapping and core logging 
• Proficiency with Mineplan Leapfrog Geo Datashed Wenco 
• Experience with 3D modeling and resource estimation 
• PGeo designation in BC or eligibility 
• Class 5 driver’s license
