MatchBox Consulting Group is partnering with a highly respected, technically driven engineering client to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their Vancouver office. 
This is a design-focused role for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys being closely involved in technical problem-solving. The organization values collaboration, shared ownership, and engineering excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and contributing to mechanical design from concept through final design
• Producing and reviewing technical deliverables (drawings, specifications, calculations, reports)
• Supporting site investigations, inspections, and construction monitoring
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship within the engineering team
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across power, transportation, and infrastructure projects
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of hydromechanical design experience (hydropower, dams, or related infrastructure)
• Background in engineering consultancy or design-focused environments
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with EGBC or eligible within 6 months
• Strong technical capability in mechanical systems such as gates, valves, turbines, pumping, or piping
• Experience using tools such as Excel, Mathcad, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, and hydraulic design software
• Ability to review technical work and provide constructive, practical feedback
