MatchBox Consulting Group are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for one of our clients who are a leading consulting engineering firm, renowned for their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and client satisfaction. 

You will work on large scale and highly complex projects in the energy portfolio of projects, ensuring project deliverables and timelines are met, while contributing innovative ideas and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess existing conditions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated and integrated project delivery.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material samples for conformance with design intent and specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs and addressing site issues.
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to ensure the application of innovative and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
• 8+ years of engineering consulting experience
• District Energy project experience
• Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and good documentation skills
