Senior Project Engineer – Telecoms

Technical Skills:

Proficient in CAD and design/analysis software.

Strong knowledge of telecom systems: microwave, fibre optics, power line carrier, antennas, radios, battery systems, remote buildings, and generators.

Project Leadership:

Strong understanding of project impact on transmission systems and ability to manage multiple disciplines/stakeholders.

Experience overseeing third-party engineering deliverables is considered an asset.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with project management principles and lifecycle processes.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal and written communication skills.

• Conflict resolution and stakeholder influence capabilities.

• Experience on large construction sites (e.g., hydro stations, substations, transmission lines) is an asset.

• Full project life cycle experience (conceptual design to commissioning) is a plus.

Additional Information

• Travel across BC required: Up to 3 site visits per year, with up to 2 overnight stays.

• Preference for local candidates or those open to relocating.

• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.

• Professional engineers must have (or operate under) a Permit to Practice in compliance with EGBC bylaws.
