MatchBox Consulting is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our client, a leading multifamily developer-builder in BC.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for achieving project objectives through a combination of effective leadership and efficient use of project management process. The ideal candidate will leverage excellent communication and people skills to develop successful relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and sub-contractors. The Senior Project Manager will achieve high standard of project delivery and operations excellence through a strong focus on quality, schedule, people leadership and financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and close-out.
• Collaborate with development managers, consultants, and trades to optimize design and construction strategies.
• Manage tendering, contract negotiations, and change orders.
• Oversee financial performance, including budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to executives and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and construction standards.
• Lead and mentor project staff, participate in hiring, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Promote and implement the company’s operational systems, including PMO and the Last Planner System.
• Champion a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to OHSA and COR certification standards.
• Uphold quality standards, reduce rework, and integrate customer satisfaction into project delivery.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in construction project management.
• College diploma or university degree in related field, PMP an asset.
• Leadership, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with managing contract operations.
• Proficiency with construction related computer applications.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to details.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to operations excellence.
