MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our client, a leading design-build construction firm based in Langley that previously focused on industrial workspaces and specialty facilities. Our client is now launching a new division dedicated to major infrastructure, delivering heavy civil and heavy industrial work at active port, terminal and remote project sites throughout British Columbia.

This role is built for a hands-on leader who thrives in smaller team environments, owns project delivery end-to-end and drives strong stakeholder partnerships. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage heavy civil and heavy industrial projects ($1M–$10M)
• Oversee full project lifecycle including planning, execution and close-out
• Provide site leadership for port, terminal and out-of-town infrastructure builds
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risk, quality and subcontractor coordination
• Drive safety compliance without promoting graphic or harmful depictions
• Partner with internal design and technical teams in a design-build environment
• Maintain accurate documentation including reports, photos and change orders
• Resolve project challenges quickly to protect timelines and outcomes
• Support division growth through team mentorship and delivery excellence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil or infrastructure
• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering or related field is an asset
• Background with mid-size GCs or self-perform heavy civil organizations preferred
• Experience with port, terminal, roads, bridges, utilities or industrial infrastructure
• Proven ability to lead lean teams and own complex scopes independently
• Comfortable with light travel to project sites across BC
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in project management and construction software, plus MS Office
• First Aid/CPR, OSHA or equivalent safety certifications are assets
