Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering renewable energy solutions in northern and remote regions. Their work includes microgrids, independent power projects (IPPs), battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar, and wind installations designed to perform in challenging environments. They work closely with First Nations and community partners, prioritizing collaboration, local capacity building, and long-term economic participation.
They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join their growing team and lead complex renewable energy projects from early planning through construction and commissioning.
This role is ideally based in Whitehorse, Yukon, but may be performed remotely for candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, autonomy, and proven success managing distributed project teams.

Ensure assigned projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards, proactively managing construction risks and interdependencies.
-
Own stakeholder engagement across utilities, regulators, Indigenous partners, landowners, executives, and internal teams to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Direct cross-functional teams spanning engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors to coordinate resources, milestones, and deliverables.
-
Establish and maintain project governance, tracking, and reporting frameworks to provide leadership and clients with clear visibility into progress, risks, and performance metrics.
-
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to construction, environmental compliance, safety, grid interconnection, and schedule impacts.
-
Advise stakeholders on construction, system, and operational changes to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and operations.
-
Collaborate closely with technical teams to define clear, constructible outcomes aligned with renewable energy standards.
-
Mentor and support project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
-
Coordinate onsite construction activities and perform quality control and assurance tasks.
-
Prepare and deliver detailed internal and external reports on project schedule, budget, forecasting, and safety performance.
-
Contribute to business case development and lessons learned initiatives to strengthen future project execution.
Required Qualifications:
