MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for one of our well respected General Contractors. They have been building everything from high-rises to large institutional and commercial projects for over 45 years all over Canada.
You will be responsible for the overall delivery of some of the larger residential $40M+ projects
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the project including profitability, schedule adherence and customer expectations
- Develop the project plan, engineering methods and monitor the project schedule with Superintendent
- Understand and enforce prime contract and subcontract responsibilities
- Review/approve subcontractor applications for payment and expedite owner payment from within contract terms
- Process all change orders, including negotiating and assessing cost and schedule impact
- Manage all facets of project close-out.
- Participate in tender closings when requested
- Supervise, mentor, coach and train project personnel
Qualifications
- 6+ years previous Project Management experience working on high-rise residential, commercial, institutional and/or concrete projects with a spend of at least $20 million and ability to manage projects up to $60 million
- University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with different project delivery methods
- Exemplary leadership skills, including strong teambuilding capabilities
