MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager in Calgary. Our client is a Canadian construction company that provides general contracting, construction management, and design-build services. They have a significant presence in the Canadian construction industry and have been involved in a wide range of projects, including commercial, institutional, industrial, and infrastructure developments.

Responsibilities

• Opportunity Management and Response:
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities for new projects.
  • Lead proposal responses to clients with support from marketing and team members.
• Pre-Construction Management:
  • Develop and maintain master project schedule and ensure contract issuance aligns with the schedule.
  • Conduct financial start-up meetings, establish project administration, and oversee preconstruction planning activities.
• Construction Management:
  • Execute quality management program and drive productivity on-site.
  • Review drawings, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage financial requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Post Construction Management:
  • Manage timely completion of deficiencies and warranty-related issues.
  • Conduct project close-out activities including the close-out report and meeting with the client.
• Employee and Talent Management:
  • Lead recruitment efforts and provide coaching and mentoring for personnel development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ensure effective project team coordination and development.

Requirements

• $80M+ project experience with school, hospital, senior care, recreation centre, prisons, etc (or other applicable/transferable experience).
• Post secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, or another related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction.
• 5+ years with a Project Manager title.
