MatchBox Consulting is seeking a Site Superintendent for our client, a leading general contractor and construction management firm company in the lower mainland. With a strong company culture and focus on quality, over the past few years, members of the team have earned success for contributions to the tenant improvement, multi-family, and mixed-use markets across the Lower Mainland in BC.

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing residential construction projects, driving quality, safety, and efficiency from start to finish. This role is ideal for a proactive leader skilled in team management, subcontractor coordination, and maintaining strict timelines and budgets. Responsibilities:

• Managing and supervising all construction site activities on multifamily construction projects
• Providing supervision of construction staff and sub-trade staff
• Providing safety leadership
• Contributing to the advancement of the construction schedule
• Identifying deficiencies or issues
• Maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient multifamily job site, while ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Contributing to a culture of professional project delivery by establishing behavioural guidelines, best practices, and a system of accountability

Requirements:

• Demonstrated progressive experience in general contracting as a superintendent in multifamily or commercial construction
• Trade background in carpentry and/or Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset
• High energy with a positive attitude
• Well-developed and adaptable communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates solid judgement regarding sensitive information
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Familiarity with MS Project and SiteMax is an asset
