MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Solutions Architect for a 6- month contract role (with possibility of extension)  with a public sector client of ours located in Victoria. This position can work fully remote anywhere in Canada.

Scope of Duties
 

• Act as the technical lead, advising on all matters related to the technical architecture, providing technical expertise and leadership to project teams, successfully simplifying complex technical jargon to stakeholders and solutioning complex technical problems into achievable development and business objectives and key results (OKRs);
• Provide identity and access management (IAM) expertise and guidance. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Advising on best practices and standards as well as evaluating technologies and approaches, and
• Defining pragmatic implementation of identity assurance standards, controls and governance processes, including models, frameworks, architecture, and guidelines;
• Manage the implementation of infrastructure and systems related to the application, data, technology, and deployment architecture as described. This includes designing and implementing robust architectural and IAM solutions to support the successful delivery of the MVP;
• Ensure that the application, data, and technology adhere to modern software engineering practices such as modularity, microservices, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) and code reviews and participate in ensuring quality of development; 
• Document any updates to the architectural designs and comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further enhancements. This includes a privacy impact assessment (PIA) and security threat risk assessment (STRA).
