MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead complex mechanical projects across Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership from planning through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, and trades while overseeing cost, schedule, quality, and subcontractor performance.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute mechanical projects in alignment with corporate policies.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and progress reports.
• Oversee project performance including cost control, quality, safety, and contract compliance.
• Manage contracts, negotiate revisions, and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Hire, supervise, and coordinate union labor, subcontractors, and project staff.
• Monitor and mitigate risks through WIP review and proactive problem solving.
• Implement company and legislated Health & Safety programs.
• Maintain document control and project records using Procore.
• Manage material and equipment procurement for projects.
• Travel to project sites or client locations as required.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or college diploma in Construction Technology (extensive trade experience may substitute).
• 5–7 years in construction (commercial or institutional projects preferred), including supervisory experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Intermediate knowledge of construction scheduling, project planning, and structural design interpretation.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with JD Edwards or Oracle-based ERP is an asset.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Available to travel.
