MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Supply Chain Professional to work in the role of Enterprise & Technology Category Lead Support for our client, one of BC’s largest utility and clean energy companies. This is a 1-year contract with high potential for renewal.

This role supports complex sourcing and category initiatives within Technology and Corporate portfolios. The successful candidate will bring strong experience leading strategic sourcing events in structured, public-sector or large enterprise environments.

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Burnaby, BC. Candidates must be able to attend the office as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies

• Lead complex, high-value sourcing events, including multi-stage RFP processes

• Draft RFP documents and manage structured evaluation processes

• Prepare for and conduct negotiations (initial awards and extensions)

• Support supplier relationship management initiatives and resolve escalated supplier or contract issues

• Apply public sector procurement principles and category management best practices

• Partner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives

• Maintain clear communication, documentation, and reporting throughout sourcing activities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sourcing, category management, or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated experience leading complex, high value sourcing events

• Experience sourcing within Technology categories (software, hardware, system integration services, infrastructure) and/or Corporate categories (e.g., HR benefits, facilities, consulting, contingent labour)

• Public sector procurement experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field

• Advanced MS Office skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
