Superintendent – Construction (Calgary, AB)

Are you an experienced construction leader looking for an opportunity to oversee impactful projects? We are seeking a Superintendent to join our team in Calgary, AB. This role is responsible for leading project execution, ensuring safety and quality, and managing on-site operations to drive successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement all aspects of the safety program to ensure a secure work environment.

  • Oversee project execution, ensuring safety, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction goals are met.

  • Manage site logistics, temporary facilities, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and trade partners to ensure efficiency.

  • Utilize the Last Planner System and 3-week look-aheads to manage scheduling and trade coordination.

  • Support project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with project documentation, QA/QC standards, and contract requirements.

  • Lead site meetings, performance evaluations, and team development initiatives.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a leadership role within construction.

  • Trade certification or post-secondary education in construction management or a related field.

  • Proven leadership in large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong knowledge of building envelope systems and experience with renovation projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
