Superintendent – Construction (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead construction activities on industrial and commercial projects based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Role Summary
The Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling construction activities on large-scale industrial and commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all field and site activities throughout the construction lifecycle

• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to meet project milestones

• Lead site meetings, maintain clear communication, and resolve issues promptly

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals

• Motivate and manage site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Manage labor, materials, and equipment resources efficiently

• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and company policies

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Superintendent in construction projects

• Experience managing food processing, distribution centers, big box retail, or warehouse facility construction

• Experience in site development projects ranging from 15 to 100 acres, preferably within urban environments

• Strong commitment to safety and worker well-being

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

• Skilled Trade Certification is an asset

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Willingness to travel within Manitoba and occasionally across Canada is an asset
