We are looking for a Survey Technologist to join our team, supporting the Deerfoot Trail Improvements Project in Calgary. Reporting to the Survey Manager, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate surveying and construction layout for the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide construction layout data to support accurate measurement and material installation.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
• Adjust and verify surveying instruments to maintain accuracy.
• Record and analyze survey data, including land contours, elevations, and dimensions.
• Utilize GIS and CAD software for mapping and design purposes.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper survey documentation and calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.

What You Bring:

• Post-secondary education in Engineering Technology or Geomatics Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in construction surveying, with a preference for civil and structural projects (bridges, highways).
• Experience with underground utilities staking, storm drainage, and sanitation.
• Proficiency in CAD Civil 3D and experience with Leica, Captivate, robotics, and GPS is an asset.
• Strong understanding of utility drawings, staking cut sheets, and geometric calculations.
• Class 5 driver’s license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and accommodate flexible work hours, including weekends and night shifts as needed.
• Membership with CLAC or willingness to join.

Work Environment & Structure:

• Location: On-site in Calgary, Deerfoot Trail Expansion Project.
• Work Model: Fully on-site.
• Reporting To: Survey Manager.
• Travel: Not required; all work is based in Calgary..
