Transmission Engineer (P.Eng.)
Power & Utility Infrastructure | Western Canada

The electrical grid across Western Canada is being rebuilt. Transmission lines are being upgraded, expanded, and modernized to support growing demand and new energy infrastructure.

We are seeking a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with transmission line experience to join a high-performing engineering team following the award of a major long-term transmission program. This role places you directly on meaningful infrastructure work where your designs move from engineering to construction.

If you enjoy real engineering challenges, technically complex projects, and work that impacts the energy system, this role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in transmission engineering while contributing to major utility projects.

This is a hands-on engineering role supporting transmission line upgrades, pole replacement programs, and design package development for large-scale infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Work On

You will contribute to the engineering and delivery of transmission infrastructure projects, including:

• Transmission line engineering and design
• Preparation of construction packages for utility projects
• Transmission pole replacement and upgrade programs
• Coordination with project managers, field teams, and engineering disciplines
• Reviewing and applying engineering standards and utility specifications
• Supporting projects from detailed design through construction execution

This role offers a combination of technical design, project coordination, and real infrastructure delivery.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking engineers who want to build a long-term career in power transmission infrastructure.

Required

P.Eng. designation (EGBC or eligible)
5+ years of transmission engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in PLS-CADD (required)
• Hands-on experience with transmission line design and project delivery

Assets

• BC Hydro transmission project experience
• Experience with PLS-Tower
• Experience in utility consulting or infrastructure engineering environments

The ideal candidate is technically strong, practical, and comfortable working on real-world infrastructure projects that move into construction.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Transmission engineering is one of the most in-demand disciplines in the power sector today. Engineers with real project experience are highly sought after as utilities invest billions in grid expansion and modernization.

This opportunity offers:

• Participation in major long-term transmission programs
• Exposure to complex, high-impact utility infrastructure projects
• A technically strong engineering environment
• Mentorship from experienced senior engineers
• Significant career growth as projects scale

If you want to work on projects that matter and build deep expertise in transmission infrastructure, this role offers a compelling next step.
