MatchBox Consulting Groups is seeking a Transportation Designer to join our client – a prominent engineering consultancy known for their diverse projects and work culture dedicated to career advancement and mentorship. In this role, you will work on diverse and impactful transportation projects, including streetscapes, neighborhood renewals, and major highways all while receiving mentorship from some of the top minds in the business and further honing your leadership skills mentoring EITs. This is a hybrid role based out of our client's office in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities
•    Prepare high-quality design and drafting deliverables while meeting scheduled milestones and budgets
•    Act as the Professional of Record for designs and provide technical reviews to ensure feasibility and constructability
•    Participate in design meetings, optimizing designs and minimizing rework
•    Lead and mentor junior to mid-level engineers and technologists
•    Provide technical input on proposals and participate in client meetings
•    Contribute to quality assurance and peer reviews
•    Foster collaboration and team building within the Transportation group
•    Support Continuous Improvement efforts for processes and procedures
•    Maintain professional growth through training, conferences, and seminars

Requirements
Must-Haves:
•    Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field)
•    P.Eng, CET, P.L.Eng, P.Tech, or A.Tech designation
•    Proven experience in civil or transportation design
•    Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD (experience with other software is a plus)
•    Strong knowledge of municipal and provincial design standards
•    Ability to manage complex infrastructure projects independently
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Assets:
•    Familiarity with City of Edmonton design guidelines
•    Streetscape design experience
•    Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects
