Water Resources Engineer (Remote)

Our client is seeking a remote, full-time Water Resources Engineer to join a collaborative, science-based team. This role focuses on the design and delivery of water resource and river engineering projects, including habitat restoration, natural channel design, and geomorphology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support projects related to river restoration, geomorphological assessments, and hydrotechnical design.
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, and biologists.
• Prepare engineering deliverables: technical reports, design drawings, calculations, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct construction oversight, field investigations, and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Contribute to internal process development, research initiatives, and proposal preparation.

Key Skills & Tools:

• Civil and water resource engineering design (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
• Habitat and aquatic ecosystem restoration
• Geomorphology and natural channel systems
• Fieldwork, construction monitoring, and design verification
• Technical writing and multidisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Hydrotechnical Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC, or eligible for registration in British Columbia
• 5–15 years of relevant consulting experience in water resources or environmental engineering
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to high standards of environmental ethics and engineering integrity
