Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Program Manager to work on a 12-month contract for one of BC's largest utility and energy companies.

The Program Manager conducts data extraction, entry, and analysis for reporting to enhance decision-making. Lead cross-functional teams on low to medium-risk projects, ensuring quality delivery within budget and timelines
 

Responsibilities:

Program Collaboration:

  • Lead collaboration efforts with the Work Package Manager (WPM), Field Operations (FO), and Contracts teams to ensure data quality and support the successful execution of business process change initiatives.

Transmission Asset Records Oversight:

  • Directly oversee all fields related to Transmission Asset Records Oversight, ensuring accurate data management and alignment with program goals.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders to manage data quality, establish program requirements, and facilitate effective communication throughout the program lifecycle.

Workplan Management:

  • Ensure timely updates and maintenance of workplans through accurate data entry, tracking program timelines and milestones to uphold program deliverables.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Implement robust data quality assurance practices in line with established business rules and standards, actively identifying and addressing any discrepancies to maintain data integrity.

Data Management for IR and ENV:

  • Oversee the handling of data files for pre screening processes related to Incident Reports (IR) and Environmental (ENV) assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Data Extraction and Reporting:

  • Conduct data extraction to support comprehensive reporting and analysis, facilitating informed decision-making and enhancing program outcomes. Optimize the reporting process by developing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems that effectively manage and streamline information.

Analytical Support:

  • Provide analytical support by performing thorough data analysis and translating findings into actionable insights that contribute to program success. Analyze large datasets using qualitative and quantitative techniques, leveraging intermediate skills in MS Excel or data analysis software to support strategic decision-making.

Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Regularly update and maintain databases to ensure the accuracy and relevance of information, contributing to effective program management.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and distribute monthly scorecards and reports for program initiators and stakeholders, delivering key insights and performance metrics that support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent.
  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
  • Proficient in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Familiar with use of current technology 
  • Computer Science Degree
  • Experience with SAP
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, preferred
