MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our client in Edmonton, AB.  

They strive to address urgent community needs like daycare accessibility, senior housing, and the Canadian affordable housing crisis. Emphasizing effective communication, they recognize architects' central role in bridging stakeholder perspectives. They prioritize staying current with industry evolution, continually enhancing their knowledge and skills in products, technology, and project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including client agreements, subcontracts, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure contracts are in compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and project specifications.
• Manage contract modifications, amendments, and extensions as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers to track project timelines, deliverables, and payments according to contract terms.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to address any contractual issues or disputes.
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation for reference and auditing purposes.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to contract administration.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field is required for this role.
• Proven experience as a Contract Administrator or in a similar capacity within architecture, construction, or engineering industries.
• Strong understanding of contract law and familiarity with legal terminology is necessary.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are important for effective contract management.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy in contract drafting and review is crucial. Knowledge of architectural project management processes is advantageous.
