MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Site Superintendent for our client, a North Vancouver based developer-builder specializing in residential projects. This role will be located in Sechelt, BC. 

The Site Superintendent will be an experienced construction professional with excellent communication skills and knowledge of the building process from start to finish. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing multifamily development projects consisting of 50-100 units, and will work closely with all subcontractors, suppliers, and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and oversight of the project
• Maintaining project schedules and budgets
• Supervising and providing guidance to the team
• Ensuring the safety of crew members by following site safety guidelines
• Monitoring productivity of crew members and enforcing quality control
• Collaborating with the Project Manager to identify and coordinate items with long lead times
• Coordinating and scheduling sub-trades and subcontractors
• Adhering to and expediting project timelines and material procurement
• Managing and setting the pace of production to ensure timely execution
• Ensuring completion of deficiency items and maintaining communication with the Project Management team

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in wood frame residential projects
• Working experience of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, underground parkade and general building system
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage on-site personnel and subcontractors
• Ability to develop and manage project schedules, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections
• Ability to lead a team of on-site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively
• Strong knowledge of and commitment to health and safety practices
