On behalf of our client, Matchbox Consulting is seeking a Controller for a reputable construction company dedicated to delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial operations.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during the audit process.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide financial guidance and support to management in decision-making processes.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting standards.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• CPA 
• Able to work in a fast paced environment, while maintaining high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
