Mechanical Project Coordinator

Matchbox Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator on behalf of our client, one of British Columbia’s leaders in the mechanical industry. They specialize in pre-fabrication, modular systems, and installation of large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, educational, and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects. The project manager will be an integral part of a large-scale project in the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee the dayto-day activities of the project from initiation through completion.
• Communicate with subcontractors, clients, and external vendors to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, fostering strong client relationships and providing necessary guidance.
• Coordinate design, review shop drawings, mitigate risks, and oversee project documentation and changes effectively.
• Develop and implement effective document control systems and sitespecific plans for Procore and health and safety.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Coordination experience in the mechanical or industrial field
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A postsecondary degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology OR a Red Seal designation in a mechanical field (plumbing, gas-fitting, etc.) and a combination of relevant coursework
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, while proficiency in other construction software (Bluebeam, Revizto, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.) is considered a strong asset
• Prior experience with Procore (or similar software) is considered an asset
• Prior experience with scheduling software (Microsoft Project) is considered an asset
