MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer/Designer in Calgary or Edmonton, AB! 

Our client designs the systems that provide buildings with heating, cooling, plumbing, and fire protection. Their work ensures spaces are comfortable, efficient, and safe for occupants.
 

Responsibilities

• Design and placement of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Perform load calculations and equipment selection
• Mentor and supervise Mechanical Designers, review their work
• Prepare design documents using AutoCAD or REVIT
• Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines
• Assist with Contract Administration tasks (e.g., shop drawing review, RFIs, onsite reviews)
• Attend design and construction meetings as needed
• Maintain project schedules and budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Technologist qualification
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in relevant industry roles 
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems
