Matchbox Consulting group is looking for a driven and experienced Tenant Improvement (TI) Project Manager to join our clients team, with a focus on healthcare facility renovations and build-outs. The ideal candidate will hold a degree from BCIT and have proven experience managing TI projects in the healthcare sector. As a TI Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of tenant improvement projects, including pre-construction, construction, and close-out.
• Lead project teams, including site supervisors, trades, and subcontractors, ensuring the smooth execution of work on-site.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to meet project objectives, especially in healthcare settings where precision and compliance are critical.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare-specific regulations and safety standards, coordinating inspections and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and labor resources necessary for project completion.
• Monitor project progress, track changes, and manage any issues that arise to ensure project milestones are met.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, working closely with healthcare facility staff to minimize disruptions.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and processing of invoices and change orders.
• Produce regular progress reports for stakeholders and maintain detailed project records.
• Resolve on-site issues, delays, or unforeseen conditions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field from BCIT or equivalent.
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably with tenant improvement projects in the healthcare sector.
• Strong understanding of healthcare facility requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
• Proven experience managing TI projects for a general contractor.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or equivalent).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and financial management principles.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of healthcare-specific safety protocols, infection control, and patient privacy standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience working on healthcare-related tenant improvement projects (e.g., hospitals, clinics, medical offices).
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices or healthcare facility certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL).
• Strong relationships with healthcare clients, subcontractors, and vendors in the region.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily based on-site in Surrey with occasional travel for project meetings or site visits.
• Ability to work in active healthcare environments, with adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on project schedules.
