Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager for our client, a general contractor located in Delta.

RESPONSIBILITIES:.

• Conducts a detailed analysis of the contract documents and specifications, to determine overall project requirements (bonding, insurance, etc.) and identifies any associated risk factors.
• Planning, scheduling, setting objectives and controlling activities during the construction phase of the project, working closely with the Site Superintendent.
• Manage project schedule while being flexible and adaptive, to ensure changes are made for the project to go on as necessary.
• Communicate and maintain company policies and procedures with all internal staff and external parties involved with project.
• Project administration including resolve issues to meet project goals, scheduling, shop drawing control, invoice approval, prepare progress claim and maintain project files.
• Manage the preparation and monitoring of quality control documentation.
• Provide the link for information flow between Site Superintendent and corporate office.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Engineering degree/diploma or related education and background working for a General Contractor.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience as a civil construction Project Manager/Project Coordinator. PMP Designation is an asset.
• Experience with construction accounting and project management software (eg: Explorer and HCSS).
• Proficient with MS Office (Project, Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD and other design software is an asset.
• Demonstrates leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills to support a collaborative approach to deliver results.
• Valid BC Driver’s License.
