MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Scientific Programmer for a permanent, full-time remote opportunity with a cutting-edge client in the scientific computing space.

This remote role focuses on developing high-performance algorithms and software solutions that support advanced geoscientific analysis and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize numerical algorithms for geoscience applications

• Develop scalable code using Python and C++ for large datasets

• Implement simulation and signal processing tools for scientific workflows

• Collaborate with data and ML teams to integrate research into production

Requirements

• 7+ years in scientific software development with strong Python/C++ skills

• Proven experience with inversion techniques and mathematical modeling

• Expertise in high-performance computing, vectorization, and parallelization

• Advanced degree in Physics, Applied Math, or Computational Geophysics
