MatchBox Consulting Group is working with a well-established property development and management company in Downtown Vancouver that is known for its high standards and strong team culture. They are looking to add a Painter with Handyman Skills to their in-house maintenance team. This is a full-time, permanent position with consistent hours and long-term stability.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Painter will take ownership of painting and general maintenance tasks across a portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working independently but can collaborate well with others when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Completing interior and exterior painting projects on company-owned buildings
• Preparing surfaces through sanding, patching, and priming to ensure a high-quality finish
• Mixing, matching, and applying paint and finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
• Taking on general handyman tasks including light carpentry, minor plumbing, and fixture repairs
• Keeping tools, supplies, and work areas organized and well-maintained
• Coordinating with the maintenance team to plan and prioritize daily tasks
• Interacting professionally with tenants, staff, and property managers
• Following all health and safety standards and reporting any site hazards or issues

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with both interior and exterior painting
• Familiarity with a variety of painting tools, materials, and surface preparation techniques
• Basic handyman skills including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical
• Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow through on tasks
• Comfortable working in occupied units and providing courteous service to residents
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, standing, and climbing as needed
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving project needs
