MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to join our client, a well-established General Contractor with a strong presence across the Lower Mainland, delivering high-quality commercial tenant improvement projects across retail, office, restaurant, and institutional sectors.

This is a key hire due to active project demand, with multiple TI projects in the $2M–$10M range ready to be assigned. You’ll step into a role with immediate ownership, strong internal support, and the ability to run projects end-to-end. Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout
• Manage project startup including trade procurement, contracts, and documentation
• Oversee budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Prepare and manage progress draws, invoices, and change orders
• Coordinate with Site Superintendents to ensure schedule and quality targets are met
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subtrades
• Monitor project risks and proactively resolve issues
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of GC-side construction experience
• Proven experience managing commercial TI projects in the $2M–$10M range
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery
• Ability to independently run projects with minimal oversight
• Solid financial acumen with budget and cost control experience
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Post-secondary education in construction or a related field is an asset
