Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager (Commercial Construction) for a high quality, well-established design-build General Contractor and Construction Manager. With over 50 years of industry experience, our client has completed over 2000 projects in commercial, institutional, education, government, healthcare to name a few.

The successful Project Manager will be able to work on variety of projects across BC, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and other Provinces, while collaborating closely with Project Managing and Estimating Teams. You will lead projects ranging from 3 to 8 million dollars (or one larger project) in the design-built environment. You will enjoy both ability to take ownership of the projects delivery and ability to access support of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of commercial project delivery and ability to access support of the team
• Participate in new project sales meetings with potential clients with BD lead
• Prepare, monitor and update construction schedules and job costs
• Prepare, maintain, and update project files
• Manage owner and consultant-initiated change notices and change orders

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience.
• Post secondary education in construction or related discipline
• Knowledge of various types of project delivery including design build, fixed price and construction management.
• Ability to travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction
• Must have a valid drivers license
