MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Drafter to join our client, a growing & tight-knit engineering consultancy delivering geotechnical and civil solutions across land development and municipal infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote opportunity with routine site visits & inspections, offering direct mentorship from senior geotechnical engineers, exposure to complex projects, and long-term growth as the team scales toward a future downtown office presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed geotechnical and civil drawings including site plans, grading plans, shoring systems, and foundation details
• Translate engineering sketches, markups, and specifications into accurate CAD drawings
• Coordinate drawing packages with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment and constructability
• Revise and update drawings based on internal and external feedback
• Support quantity take-offs and assist with basic design tasks as required
• Maintain drawing standards, templates, and organized file structures across projects

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
• 5+ years of drafting experience, ideally within geotechnical or civil projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is considered an asset
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, detailing, and industry standards
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, professional English required)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits across the Greater Vancouver Area
