Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Commercial Project Coordinator for a high quality, well-established design-build General Contractor and Construction Manager. With over 50 years of industry experience, our client has completed over 2000 projects in commercial, institutional, education, government, healthcare to name a few.

The Commercial Project Coordinator will support a Project Manager on projects ranging from 3 to 8 million dollars (or one larger project) in the design-built environment. For the right person, this position can grow into Project Manager and more.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in tendering, negotiating and preparation of subcontracts and purchase orders not provided by pre-construction services
• Assist project managers in receiving information from site concerning material shortages, identify specific items, order, and expedite replacement materials
• Ongoing monitoring, document control and processing of plans, specifications, shop drawings and other submittals as required
• Coordinate and obtain occupancy documentation and substantial completion certificates
• Ensure that project binders and appropriate project cloud filing systems are organized

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial Project Coordination experience
• Post secondary education in construction or related discipline
• Proficient with Procore
