Assistant Controller | $90K–$110K base | CPA required

The role

• Lead a team of 9 including an AP Team Lead and AP Administrators
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close — start to finish
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial modelling
• Build and improve systems across AP, AR, and purchasing — automation, reporting, process efficiency
• Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Support tax and statutory compliance
• Manage risk — internal and external — and plan for mitigation
• Work directly with the leadership team on reporting, forecasting, and decisions

Who this is for

You’re a CPA from public practice. Big four, mid-tier, it doesn’t matter — you know what a tight file looks like. Ideally you’ve got some exposure to construction or project-based business, but strong public practice experience is what matters most. You’ve got 5+ years behind you. You’ve led files, maybe mentored a junior or two, and you’ve been good at it. But you’re tired of being the outside voice. You want accountability. A real team. Something you can actually build.

Compensation

• $90K–$110K base + performance incentive tied to company profitability
• RRSP with 6% company match on base salary
• 3 weeks vacation + 4 additional paid days, plus an extra week after 2 years
