MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Site Superintendent for one of our clients, a reputable and growing General Contractor specializing in commercial construction projects across British Columbia.

This opportunity involves leading a fast-paced restaurant base building project in the Okanagan from mobilization through turnover. The project features a highly compressed schedule and will require a Superintendent who is experienced managing both base building and interior fit-out scopes within aggressive timelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong restaurant, retail, hospitality, or commercial TI experience and be confident driving schedules, coordinating trades, and maintaining strong project reporting standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

Project Details

• $3.5M commercial restaurant project
• Okanagan, BC
• Approximate schedule: June – November 2026
• Travel/per-diem available for candidates based in the Lower Mainland
• Open to local Okanagan candidates

Responsibilities

• Oversee the project from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate all site activities, trades, inspections, and scheduling
• Drive project schedule to meet aggressive fast-track timelines
• Manage both base building and interior fit-out construction scopes
• Ensure site safety, quality control, and overall project execution
• Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting through Procore
• Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, and subcontractors to proactively resolve issues
• Lead site meetings and maintain strong communication across stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on $3M–$5M commercial construction projects
• Strong restaurant, retail, hospitality, or commercial TI experience
• Experience managing projects from mobilization through turnover
• Comfortable working within compressed/fast-track construction schedules
• Procore proficiency and strong reporting/documentation rigor required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment
