MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Director of Finance for a well-established real estate development organization.

The organization operates across integrated business units with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced finance professional with a background in real estate and/or construction. The ideal candidate is hands-on and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Role Overview

The Director of Finance provides financial leadership across a multi-entity organization, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and strategic financial management. The role carries broad responsibility for financial performance, compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial reporting across the organization
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Manage cash flow and project-level financial performance
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and financing obligations
• Support capital management and treasury operations
• Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Manage lender and financing relationships
• Oversee financial systems and reporting infrastructure
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team
• Support audit, regulatory, and corporate compliance activities
• Drive financial analysis and special projects as required

What We’re Looking For

• Senior finance experience in real estate, construction, or a related industry
• CPA designation strongly preferred
• Experience in multi-entity or complex organizational environments
• Strong grasp of project accounting and cash flow management
• Proven leadership and team development capability
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, in-office environment
